Labour Sector: An Overview

Special attention is accorded to the employment of the national labor force, to provide citizens with opportunities to participate in the nation building process.

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has repeatedly stressed in his Royal Speeches the need to develop scientific, technical and vocational capabilities of the Omani human resources, in order to enable them to play a remarkable role in the comprehensive development witnessed by the country in various economic fields.

His Majesty the Sultan has not only issued his Royal Directives to provide the national labor force with the opportunity to take up their active role in the economic development, but he also he called upon the private sector to increase the percentage of Immunization in its various companies and establishments, in order to ensure the welfare of Omani families and he repeatedly urged citizens to utilize the available job opportunities in whatever areas, reminding them that our sacred religion has called for work which it considers as worship.

His Majesty the Sultan has issued his Royal Directives to hold the national Manpower labor force employment seminars which have reflected the continued care and attention accorded by His Majesty to his loyal subjects and stressed the necessity to develop their skills and capabilities and provide them with more job opportunities.

The Ministry of Manpower undertakes this important role and endeavors to implement the government's plans in this regard to provide citizens all over the Sultanate with job opportunities in various fields.
