Manpower Ministrys SMS service to give updated info

As part of its constant efforts in easing documentation process and to enhance communication with the public, the Ministry of Manpower has launched SMS service system. Dubbed the first of its kind which allows the public to follow up their transactions with the ministry and provides access to information about the same, the system includes a number of services which had been activated in its services at present.
Abdullah al Hattali, Deputy Director of the Employment Service at the Ministry of Manpower, said the ministry is making efforts to develop the services to offer advanced facilities. “An SMS can let you know the present position of your document with us,” he added. This service will be highly useful for companies and institutions as it has an effective tracking facility, and will also help job-seekers to get the right job. It would also help companies in their Omanisation drive via Short Message Services.
“It also provides service for the job-seekers by giving all information pertaining to job opportunities available in the private sector and will also help companies to implement their Omanisation process smoothly by acknowledging the current status of Omanis in their organisations.” People can visit the ministry website (www.manpower.gov.om) and follow the directions to avail this services.
