Private Training Establishments Department
The department includes the following sections:
- Institutes licensing
- Training and follow up
- Certificates endorsement
- National projects
The department approves the establishing and opening of new private vocational training
institutes which operate in the administrative, technical and craft training fields
and it follows up to ensure that such institutes comply with the proper training
basis and the provisions and regulations enacted. It also identifies the level of
training programs and whether they meet the requirements of the local market and
the positive impact these programs on the individual capabilities of trainees.
This department is also tasked with inspecting, studying and accrediting the qualifications
and experiences of candidates for administrative and training jobs at the private
institutes and it follows up their performance and monitors periodical data and
statistics of all institutes to identify the numbers of trainees and the types of
programs adopted by these institutes in order to accredit the certificates awarded
to graduates.
Tasks and specializations:
- Studying the feasibility of applications to open private training institutes and
centers.
- Approving the holding of training courses and programs at private institutes whether
such programs are supported by the ministry or the private sector.
- Following up implementation of training activities at private institutes and imposing
penalties stipulated in the training regulations concerning the training institutes
and centers which violate the adopted system and regulations.
- Studying applications to appoint administrative, teaching and supervising staff
at these institutes and checking their efficiency and experiences and addressing
the concerned authorities in this regard.
- Endorsing certificates issued by private training institutes and centers.
- Revising the vocational training programs and curricula and verifying their content
and consistency with the proposed specializations and periods.
- Revising documents regarding the national vocational qualifications programs to
ensure that they meet the data stipulated in the endorsed regulations.
- Following up the training process and submitting required reports.
- Ensuring that trainees continue in the same specializations approved in accordance
with the training systems in place.
- Submitting periodical reports on the development and efficiency of private training
institutes and centers.
- Following up training in national project fields and supervising the holding of
vocational tests and identifying the scientific skills of trainees in various technical,
administrative and craft fields and issuing certificates.
- Monitoring and registering training data in the field and issuing periodical data
and definitions in this area.
- Endorsing the national vocational qualifications programs, or any programs equivalent
to them, according to the criteria and system adopted by the donating authorities.
- Checking the specializations of evaluators and revisers in the craft, technical
and administrative training fields.
- Ensuring that the institutes and centers hold training activities and not implementing
any other academic programs or studies, or awarding higher diplomas.
