Training Systems & and its areas
The vocational training institutes endeavor to prepare the national labor force
in vocational levels ( craftsmen, skilled, of limited skills) in various areas which
include electricity, electronics, cooling and air conditioning, auto mechanics,
welding, carpentry, construction and metal shaping works.
The academic and training plan at these institutes includes teaching the vocation
sciences and basic skills at the following levels:
- First year for those of limited skills
- Second year for the skilled
- Third year for craftsmen
The training year is divided into (34) weeks, (30) hours per week excluding the
enrollment and tests periods. Training includes a field training program which
extends for at least 12 weeks every year.
Accredited hours in various specializations are as follows:
- Vocational efficiency certificate ( of limited skills) 1020 hours.
- Vocational efficiency certificate ( skilled ) 2040 hours.
- Vocational efficiency certificate ( craftsman ) 3060 hours.
